Draw a triangle in Photoshop

Contents

When i was a “tonto”, I was faced with the need to draw a triangle in Photoshop. At that moment, could not cope with this task without help.

It turns out that it is not as complicated as it might seem at first glance.. In this tutorial I am going to share with you my experience in drawing triangles.

There are two ways (i know them).

The first method enables us to represent an equilateral triangle. For this, we need a tool called “Polygon”.. It's in the Alternatives section for the right toolbar.

This tool enables you to draw regular polygons with a specific number of sides. In our case it will be three (sides).

After setting the fill color.

Place the cursor on the canvas, hold the left mouse button and draw our shape. While creating the triangle, you can rotate it without releasing the mouse button.

The result obtained:

You can also draw a shape without a fill, but with outline. Contour lines snap on the top toolbar. There, the padding is also configured, or rather its absence.

I have triangles like this:

You can experiment with the settings to achieve the desired result.

The next triangle drawing tool “Rectilinear loop”..

This tool allows you to draw triangles with any proportion. Let's try to draw a rectangular one.

For a right triangle, we will need to accurately draw a right angle (who would have thought …).

Let's use guide lines. Read how to work with guidelines in Photoshop in this post.

Then, we have read the post, we take out the guidelines. One vertical and one horizontal.

For the selection to be “drawn” by the guides, we activate the adjustment function.

Then, we take “Straight tie”. and draw a triangle of the desired size.

Then right-click inside the selection and select, according to your needs, context menu items “Run fill”. O “Run a bypass”..

The fill color is set as follows:

You can also adjust the width and position of the stroke.

We get the following results:
Fill in.

The “dotted”.

To get sharp corners, tracing must be done. “Within”..

Once the selection is deselected (CTRL + D) we get a finished rectangular triangle.

These are the two easiest ways to draw triangles in Photoshop.
