What is the objective of this course?

The main objective of this course is to develop professionals trained in various big data technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Mapreduce, Cassandra and many more. The course aims to provide a comprehensive knowledge of Big Data tools to enable professionals of any level to tackle data mappings with ease.. Mandatory real-life industry projects included with the course ensure participants get the right hands-on experience.

Needless to say, all of this will contribute to job prospects in the big data industry..

What is the structure of the course?

This course is available in two formats: Self-paced and instructor-led classroom or online. Instructor-led online classroom program offered through Flexipass. This feature allows access to multiple training batches, in time zones over a period of 90 days. Both formats provide high-quality e-learning content during 180 days to allow self-paced training.

In both cases, The autonomous pedagogy used in this course mainly benefits students with no prior knowledge of big data. For instance, big data requires Java knowledge. But even if you don't have formal Java training, the course offers a module in Java to get started.

This course follows a basic to advanced teaching structure.. In addition to other Big Data tools, this course offers a dedicated module on Apache Spark (widely regarded as the future of Big Data). Therefore, This course is up-to-date and in line with the latest industry trends and developments. Course offers Hadoop training 2.7, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, HBase, Zookeeper, Sqoop, Flume y modelado predictivo en R (additional course). See the full list of courses here.

For an enhanced learning experience, offers a unique CloudLab feature. Esta característica brinda al usuario la experiencia de trabajar en un cluster de hadoop de última generación sin problemas de mantenimiento. What's more, the inclusion of industry projects in retail, Insurance and social media offers the much-needed hands-on experience of working in Big Data. A candidate will receive a certificate of experience from 3 months after successful completion of this course.

But nevertheless, in the midst of such exemplary offers, moving with current trends, I understand they are also adding Python / R in the course. Using these analytical tools with Big Data will further strengthen your course, which is already among the best available today.

How is the Faculty?

The training faculty organizing the sessions is quite experienced and aware of the latest developments in the industry. I found no cases where the course instructor had difficulty answering the questions properly.

I noticed that the instructors put more emphasis on explaining technical topics with illustrations of real world scenarios. This helps participants relate theory to practice and easily absorb dense technical details..

Needless to say, if you opt for classes at your own pace, you will miss this experience. But nevertheless, the chose, of course, is completely left to your discretion.

How good is the content ?

Pre-recorded video tutorials have clear and pleasant video and voice. Instructor's accent is easy to understand and interpret. Difficult topics are explained using interesting real-life examples.

The next version of the course will provide updated content based on the new Cloudera certification. They will also feature moving graphics and an on-screen instructor. I think it will be an exciting change, as I always feel like the on-screen instructor provides more engagement.

This will help increase concentration and make learning more visualized compared to the voice explanation slide mode.

Who should take this course ?

This course is ideal for candidates of all domains who are interested in pursuing a career in Big Data. The inclusion of the Java module has also made it even more attractive to non-technical candidates..

But nevertheless, as i understand, prior knowledge of Java in this course should be a big plus. Java plug-in can be used as upgrade (if required). Candidates with IT experience will find this course easier to relate to and understand. Secondly, a novice with some diligence and enough practice should be able to discern the terminologies used in the different stages of this course.

Therefore, I suggest this course is more suitable for experienced IT professionals (<2 years). But that does not mean that a newbie cannot benefit from the training.. You may need to work harder than others, but if you really aspire to become a big data scientist, I do not see that it is impossible.

General recommendation

My final verdict is: I recommend this course to all aspiring Big Data candidates. This is a good starting point for your trip. Apart from the quality of the offers, which is exceptional, the price of the course also makes it a good value for money material.

The self-paced module is available for just Rs. 10,999. The online classroom module / instructor-led can be used at Rs. 21.999. After looking around a bit, I realized that it is difficult to find a course in this price range, considering the immense variety of offers that are offered.
