How to delete a folder

  1. In the ES Explorer app, pull down the main menu in the upper left corner and find “Show hidden files.”. Change the position of the slider to activate the function.
  2. Open the root directory of the device, select the folder “Storage” and go to the section “DCIM”. In the same directory on the flash drive you will find “SD card”.
  3. Inside the directory, click on the line “.Thumbnails” and hold it there for a few seconds until a check mark icon appears. After, on the bottom panel, Click the button “Remove”to delete the folder and all attachments.
  4. To selectively remove it, abra “.Thumbnails” and select unnecessary documents similar to the previous step. Pay special attention to the file “.Thumbdata3”since it contains the thumbnails and takes up space on the smartphone.

The actions described should only be carried out in extreme cases, since the speed of the smartphone and some applications may reduce. At the same time, image thumbnails are likely to disappear from gallery.

Prohibit the creation of a folder
