How to completely erase NVIDIA GeForce Experience or GeForce Experience Games

NVIDIA GeForce Experience can be a useful program: to automatically update video card drivers, record screen (I did not know, I did not know it? You can read about this feature here), determine various settings for different games. But not everyone needs it.

These instructions detail how to erase NVIDIA GeForce Experience from your computer and, if required, delete games from the GeForce Experience list without uninstalling the program itself.

How to totally erase NVIDIA GeForce Experience from your computer or laptop

You can use standard Windows tools 10, 8.1 o Windows 7 to uninstall the program from your computer and then, if required, delete the remaining folders from the program (instead of the method described below, you can use special uninstallers).

The steps required for uninstallation are as follows:

  1. Open Control Panel (in Windows 10, you can use taskbar search to do this) and go to “Programs and components” O “Uninstall a program”.
  2. In the list of installed programs, find NVIDIA GeForce Experience and click “Uninstall / Change”.
  3. Confirm removal of the program.
  4. Some remnants of programs can be deleted in folders. C: NUuser_nameNAppDataNLocalNNNVIDIA Corporation and C: | Program files (x86) | NVIDIA CorporationThis is not always safe, since not all are specific to GeForce Experience (apart from the AppData folder with the same name), some are related to other NVIDIA driver components.
  5. Restart your computer.

This will completely remove NVIDIA GeForce Experience from your computer.

How to Delete Games from GeForce Experience

If you need to delete games from your GeForce Experience list, reinstalling the software won't help. Instead, follow these steps:

  1. Presione Win + R, scribe services.msc. and disable all NVIDIA services.
  2. In the folder
    C:Users (Members)UserNameAppDataLocalNVIDIANvBackend

delete (or better yet, move to another location so they can be easily retrieved) the files

    journalBS.jour.dat
    journalBS.jour.dat.bak
    journalBS.main.xml
    journalBS.main.xml.bak
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. This should result in an empty list of games in NVIDIA GeForce Experience.

Hope the guide was helpful. Good, if you still have questions, do them in the comments, I will try to answer them.
