December stands out for us for several reasons: we are planning for 2016 and reflecting on what a fabulous year it's been 2015. It is also the time of year when we publish our rankings for analytics programs in India.. We publish our rankings on the best analytics software in India at 2014-15. It is time to review our ranking according to the progress and growth of analytics programs in India in 2015. But before that, Let's take a look at the changes that have occurred in the landscape of analytics programs in India.
2015: the year of the new programs
Since we did our last qualifying round, there were some notable changes in the landscape of analytics programs. Some of the best institutes in the country have created their analysis programs, the most notable being the link between IIT Kharagpur, ISI Kolkata e IIM Calcutta, SP Jain Institute of Management y MISB Bocconi.
Institutes have tried to create different programs in different formats (ranging from full-time courses to 6 months to full-time courses of 2 years) focusing on the needs of different audiences.
Secondly, we have also seen the industry become more open to candidates for these programs. We have seen transitions through these programs and placements across all programs (whether officially supported or not) have increased.

What programs are covered in these classifications?
In these rankings, We have covered business analysis programs lasting more than 1 year. We have not covered the short-term courses and training certifications here. We will publish those rankings soon.
What's more, we have classified these programs into two categories: Professional Worker Programs (with experience) Y Freshers Program (less experience).
Please, note that these rankings are based on our interactions with various stakeholders from these institutes. We have conducted a comprehensive study and included all institutes in India that offer long-term programs as part of our study..

Rankings (executives / experienced professionals)
1. Indian Business School (ISB), Hyderabad
ISB also retains the No ranking. 1 this year (of the last 2 years). On the surface, it might appear that Great Lakes held its position in number 2. But, the real story is much more than that. Great Lakes is quickly catching up to the gap between them and ISB. They have launched two new campuses in Bangalore and Pune.
With this expansion, are now available in 4 cities of India, including Delhi NCR (Gurgaon) y Chennai. This program is endorsed by industry leaders and leading companies. Enrollment in this program is done through a written test followed by a personal interview.
It would be interesting to see what this Great Lakes program will look like in 2016.

Compared to last year, IIM Bangalore has secured its position on our list. With a recognized brand and a wide coverage of analysis tools and techniques, this is one of the favorite courses in business analysis in India. This is a program of 1 year. The course curriculum covers EMiner, SPSS, R, Qlikview, SAS, etc. Needless to say, the students who came out of this program have managed to do well..
This program has not yet introduced Big Data related technologies into its curriculum.

4. MISB Bocconi, Mumbai
This program is jointly taught by SDA Boconni and Jigsaw Academy. Its team of professors has the support of international Bocconi faculties. This program requires a minimum of 2 years of work experience. It is a combination of online and offline learning that helps professionals working in routine adjustments. Its endless effortless to secure placements and industry exposure, has helped many students to secure a successful career.

This is an executive program of 1 year. Classes are held on weekends. The program is designed for students to receive in-depth knowledge of concepts related to data science and analysis. The first batch of this program will be implemented this year. It would be interesting to see the actual location stats and success stories.

1. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur
This program is jointly offered by the 3 leading institutions in India, namely, IIT Kharapur, IIM Calcutta e ISI Kolkata. You can expect a great deal of knowledge sharing in this course from 2 years. This is a full time program. If you can enter this course, consider your future secured (assuming you will work hard).
This course is taught on these three campuses. You can learn IIM administration, IIT technology and ISI data science. What better could you ask for? To enroll in this program, must pass your written test and personal interview.

His first batch started in October 2015 of 30 students.

4. Narsee Monjee School of Management (NMIMS), Bangalore
With its exceptional location figures, This program has ensured that student learning is in sync with the demand for industry skills. This is a full time course. This course has the lowest fee structure. The duration of this course is 1 year. More than 390 hours of lectures in class, the program is designed to provide analytical knowledge related to various domains (marketing, finance, supply chain, human Resources).
This could become one of the best programs, if they emphasized machine learning algorithms and data visualization equally in detail.

This is a full-time program of 1 year in partnership with IBM. This program is MTNL's world-class campus with state-of-the-art “IBM Business Analytics Lab” and “IBM Cloud Computing Lab” at Powai in Mumbai. This course will introduce you to various tools such as SAS, R, Painting, Spark, IBM Cognos, Hadoop, etc. The course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of business analytics and big data. The pedagogy consists of 5 classroom session days and online weekend sessions.
It would be interesting to see the location stats for this course once the batch fades. If they continue to gain momentum, this program could help many companies with well-educated candidates.

What are the criteria used to classify these programs?
We have classified these business analysis programs based on course offerings, brand recognition, the value for money and the course syllabus. Precisely, we have considered the following parameters (then) to classify these programs. Later, weights were assigned to these parameters. Therefore, guaranteeing a result with the most appropriate classifications:
- Coverage score (0,2) – This score represents the wide range of topics covered in the course. This includes data mining, data visualization, big data, machine learning, tools and domain expertise.
- Quality level (0.4) – This score represents the analysis of the industry interaction (number of hours), teacher profiles (experience and qualification) and the depth of the topic taught in the program.
